What is a Solar Community?
A Solar Community is a shared photovoltaic installation in which Iberdrola makes the entire investment: it rents a building's rooftop, installs the panels, owns the plant and manages energy distribution among local participants.
The generated energy is distributed among neighbours and businesses within a 5 km radius of the installation. Each participant consumes their share of solar energy, reducing their bill. Surplus energy is fed back into the grid with financial compensation.

Solar Host
You have an industrial warehouse, storage or building with an available rooftop. You lease the space to Iberdrola and receive an annual rent for 15 years, plus preferential access to the generated energy.

Ideal for industrial warehouses, storage facilities, shopping centres, supermarkets, sports centres and schools with large available rooftops.

Community of Owners
Ideal for residential buildings that want to generate solar energy on the rooftop and share it among owner-residents, reducing the entire community's bill.

Feasibility study
RBCSUR analyses your rooftop for free: surface area, orientation, shadows and generation potential. No cost or commitment.
Contract with Iberdrola
A 15-year lease contract is signed with Iberdrola. You start receiving benefits from the moment the installation is up and running.
Installation by RBCSUR
RBCSUR manages all engineering, permits, installation and grid connection as Iberdrola's official partner. Without disrupting your activity.
Shared energy
The plant generates electricity for the host and solar neighbours within a 5 km radius. Surplus is fed into the grid with compensation.
Save on your bill without installing anything
If you live or have your business within a 5 km radius of a Solar Community, you can subscribe as a Solar Neighbour and benefit from the generated energy without any installation on your property.
RBCSUR conducts a personalised consumption study to assign your optimal capacity. The energy is generated nearby, fed into the grid and deducted from your bill. If you consume more than generated, the grid covers the difference; if there's surplus, you receive financial compensation.
